29 members of Sacramento’s Black Lives Matter group, both past and present are denouncing leader Tanya Faison.
According to their open letter, Faison’s leadership “has created and maintained a pattern of wide-ranging harm and manipulation" which has dated back to 2016.
Although no specific examples have been mentioned, the letter makes it clear that changes needed to be made.
"We CANNOT allow further abuse to be inflicted upon ourselves or anyone in our community,” the letter states.
Faison has not commented on the post on the Allies of BLM Sacramento Facebook page.
