A fire broke out in an overhead bin on a flight that was getting ready to take off from New York to Houston. The vape-pen battery left in a carry-on bag overheated and caused the luggage in the bin to ignite. A flight attendant put out the fire with a fire extinguisher and they evacuated the plane. Passengers were just relieved that it happened on the ground and not in the air.
