Ariana Grande Is Heading Back To Acting For Adam McKay's Netflix Comedy

Ariana Grande is brushing off her acting chops for a cameo in Adam McKay's upcoming Netflix comedy, Don't Look Up.

Per a Wednesday (October 14) announcement, the pop titan, 27, is set to appear in McKay’s upcoming film and she’s not the only superstar in the film. The upcoming project, which is set to begin filming in Boston in November, also features Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Himesh Patel, Timothée Chalamet, Cate Blanchett, Rob Morgan, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry, Tomer Sisley and others. The film, which was written by McKay, who will also direct the project, revolves around two scientists played by DiCaprio and Lawrence who discover that a meteor is going to hit Earth. To spread the word, they head out on an unsuccessful media blitz to attempt to warn the public.

News of Grande's upcoming role comes amid word that the pop titan is set to drop a new album in the next few weeks. "I can't wait to give you my album this month," Grande wrote in an unexpected tweet this week. The LP will reportedly see the singer reunite with the same folks behind 2019's thank u, next: Tayla Parx and Victoria Monét.
