Ciara Tells Single Women To 'Level Up' To Get Husbands, Future Responds

Ciara was the target of much backlash this weekend for an Instagram video that she posted that urged women to "level up" if they wanted to find a husband.

“Too many women want to be married, but you’re walking in the spirit of girlfriend,” Pastor John Gray said in the clip. “You’re not a wife when I marry you, you’re a wife when I find you. But a wife is not the presence of a ring, it’s the presence of your character.”

Many people who saw this video were completely appalled that Cici would post such a thing. “Ciara’s playing a dangerous game,” one person tweeted. “You should never, no matter how perfect your relationship/marriage appears to be, sit on a throne and tell people why they’re not romantically successful. You can be the queen of the ball today and have cake in your face tomorrow!” Check out Ciara's post below.

One person who caught wind of Ciara's post was the singer's ex-fiance, Future. The rapper wrote a subliminal message to his former love on Twitter. "Make sense on social media. Great Job," he said. See that tweet below.

After facing the wrath of social media, Ciara later tried to clear up her message. In another IG post, she said: “I was once that girl wanting to be loved a certain way but was making the wrong choices. I found myself at my lowest moment."

She continued: "I was a single mom, sitting at home, and I then realized that the perfect love I was looking for was how God loves me, how He wants me to be loved, and who He was calling me to be as a mom and a woman. That’s when I realized married or not married…I needed to love myself. #LevelUp.” See that below.
