Veteran free agent center Jonathan Goodwin has agreed to return to New Orleans in a one-year deal, the Saints announced Tuesday.

Goodwin played for the Saints from 2006 to 2010, a starter for the final three seasons. He won a Super Bowl with the Saints and was also named to the Pro Bowl in 2009.

He has spent the last three seasons in San Francisco, starting at center for the 49ers. During that time, he played in three straight NFC title games and another Super Bowl.

Other roster moves announced Tuesday include the signing of defensive lineman Brandon Deaderick, a four-year NFL veteran who has played for New England and Jacksonville.

The team waived guard Mike Golic, Jr. and inside linebacker Spencer Hadley.
